Until 2013, Brighton hosted two independent Youth Football Leagues, Brighton Junior Football (BJF) and Brighton Youth Football (BYF).   In 2013, the Presidents of both organization recognized their slowly shrinking enrollment and decided to merge to two organizations, BYF bringing its financial stability and BJF bringing their larger enrollment numbers.   The resulting organization, BBFC, has served Brighton ever since.

In 2016 Brighton High School hired Brian Lemons as the BHS Head Football Coach.  In doing so, they ushered in an unprecedented era of cooperation between the High School football program and BBFC.  BBFC Coaches work along side of the HS coaching staff, attend camps with the HS coaching staff, and use an age-appropriate version of the High School Playbook.  BBFC is a true feeder organization for the coming success of the Brighton High School Program.
